I was dating a guy for 8 months and he said that we are exclusive and that he liked me and was wanting to get to know me more before deciding on making me his girlfriend. When we hung out we had a lot of fun together and we both felt a connection. I just noticed he had some hesitation with opening up to me and would never invite me to go out with him and his friends (guys and girls).
Well, he broke up with me because he doesn’t see a relationship working while he’s in the military because on his weekends off he said he decompresses with friends in their college town and doesn’t want to feel guilty for not seeing me. I found out his ex recently moved to this college town and began hanging out with his friends.
The breakup seemed very easy for him and he did it right before an exam he knew I was stressed about.
I feel like I was strung along and used. Why would he lie about his intentions with me?
