Why does my ex still use the things I gave?

Hey, guys. My ex broke up with me recently but has my items. I gifted him a new black satin bed sheets, 2 colognes he always wanted, a Xbox, new sets of body wash (pack of 6), and I got him an NFL Jersey of his favorite QB. He hadn't given me my stuff, and none of his friends ever came to me to give me such. So I have a question. Why do my ex still have the gifts I have him? I would expect him to want nothing to do with them since we're no contact, and he blocked me on every social, and he told his friend he didn't want anything. Yet, my friends said he likes me or has feelings for me but is not showing emotions because... it's a man thing to not express it. So, why?

This is a VERY female mindset. Males don’t have the same emotional connection to purging old gifts or associating some romantic reminder to property. Women throw things out, give things back, demand the return of items. It’s something I’ve seen before. For the most part, perhaps an engagement ring being the only consistent example I can think of, men don’t expect things back from an ex nor do they throw away a perfectly good item simply because an ex-GF is the one who gifted it to him.

When I have ended relationships, I usually kept any gifts which had been given to me and expected my ex to keep anything I had given her.

I think it is petty to insist that a grf return every gift I have given her. I have given girlfriends lingerie, other clothing, even vibrators. What would I do with that stuff if she returned it. I wouldn't use it myself and would never think of giving it to another girl.

Keeping the gifts only means that he likes the gifts.

I gave him those things out of love. I know some guys he talk to. They told me how he told them that he appreciate the things I got for him. This guy and I broke up 2 months ago and we are no contact. When I'm around someplace, he just walks off or go elsewhere. He haven't move on to any other girl and he was the one to initiate no contact because he didn't want to get in trouble with me. I don't know about this guy. He's sadly emotionally immature due to his pain with other women before me but it hurts. I was pregnant with his baby...
