Becauae usually men realize that their ex is being more appealing to attract other men, then his curiousity to know who's in her life, leads him to think like that. And also girls will be more mature and know their mistakes of the past rltm. And they do not repeat it again, therefore they will care more about themselves and not about any body else except herself and they work on their body to be perfect, she wears atunning dresses and put on a crazy makeup to let him regret the day he left her.

well that's not entirely true. not immediately at least. there's usually the first stage of hate when she becomes "an ugly wretch" and you think "what did I even see in her in the first place?". then that blows over and you realize that you hate her so much because you still love her (irony). then you realize as much as you still love her, she's not yours anymore and we always want what we can't have don't we? she becomes the forbidden fruit and that's why appears much more attractive than she really is.
Usually the break-up is a a relief for both parties. Both have their freedom back, and aren't trying to square the circle by being compatible with someone who they aren't compatible with!
This sense of freedom makes people 'bloom' in a sense.. it shows that breaking up was a wise decision!

Actually I never saw that. It's not as if they became less beautiful per se, but rather they have a permanent storm cloud over them forever after - that's how my exes appear to me.
Never appealed to me much in general after that.
