Women care about appearance too and not only that but their criteria for what they find physical attractive is very specific whereas men tend to be far more broad and forgiving. It's for this reason that men find majority of women attractive while only 20% of men were considered above average in looks by women and 80% below average when it comes to physical attraction.

Also factor in men care about traits women can control. Men care about a nice face but she doesn't need to be an 8/10 in the face a guy would be content with a girl like this and consider attractive:

For a girl to consider a man physically attractive and have the desire to approach he would have to be born with very specific traits. These traits usually are chiseled jaw and sharp facial feature.

In addition men do not give shit about other traits that women have no control of such as height or race (when it comes to casual dating). While women tend to place great emphasis on these traits for physical attraction.

Even when it comes to nice bodies you'll fine the effort men have to go through to be considered having a nice body by women is far more than what women have to go through.

Traits men aren't forgiving towards women for women have full control over and can improve upon such as weight. And women can improve having a below average or busted face with makeup.

Guys are pretty much hit or miss in terms of physical attraction. However, on the plus size men's attraction isn't all placed on the physical and men can improve with getting a good personality. Increasing their provider qualities (wealth and status).
