Should I text that we should hang out again sometime to a girl?

I went out on a coffee date with this girl in my college class. We went right after class and we chatted for about an hour (keep in mind we have talked in class for a month now so there wasn't all that much to talk about for more than an hour). She lives a half hour away and takes the freeway so I just texted her an hour after the date "Lisa did you get home okay?"

What should I text next after she replies? Should I text "it was a nice getting to know you a little better, we should hang out again sometime."
Or should I just wait till I see her in class again and ask her out to the movies?

I would text her we should do it again next time and then in class discuss or say "we should see this movie"
