What Girls Said
I have several siblings and both parents and I think I actively ignored anything from them on my life... lol!
I do not see why any of us need help in deciding what is good on a first date.
I assume our parents want the most for us so...
Yes. I haven’t even really dated anyone yet and my parents always talk about sex and stuff
Can't blame them, they are concerned about being a grandparent earlier than they would like maybe :)
Nope, my parents never taught me anything about dating. I had to figure it out which lead me into a terrible relationship. I wish they would have this could’ve saved me a lot of time an heart ache
My first date was with a guy who asked me to the 8th grade dance. My dad as usual was grumbly about it and overprotective, and my mom took me to try on dresses. I dont remember getting lectured on not kissing, but that didn't happen anyway lol
My mom said "he's gonna try kissing you" which turned me off from the idea of going on dates
I was 22 so I was sure I don't need guidance. I was just my normal me like always. Did seem to work well so far.
—>. Don’t date guys
—>. They’re all evil
—> except the Japanese guys we pick for you
What does "Japanese guys we pick for you" mean?
They only wanted me to date Japanese guys that they picked for me to date
What do you do now?
I married a white guy
... lol
They hated him for the better part of 3 years. but they seem to have moved beyond it
That's nice for sure :)
Well technically he’s not white he’s Native American but it’s sll the same to my parents.
I usually did it behind their backs and when it happened I was out of HS anyway
Yes, my parents made it very clear never to come home with guy. I was raised by LGBT-phobic parents.
Did your parents give you advice?
Totally, yes!
My 2 sisters and my parents are so close it is amazing and no subject is left off the table.
An open loving relationship with parents is the best way to have healthy relationships when dating ages develop for sure, manly because you then know what good communication is all about and you seek to find others that will also communicate just as well with you.
Thank you for asking! And now since this question is really about you... how was your home life in this regard pray tell? :)
Oops, meant to say My 2 sisters, and I, and my parents... :)
I don't know how to answer that...
I guess I don't really understand what you're asking
Awe... well you are giving hints then that it wasn't as good as most would hope for... am I close?
The question is about if your parents gave you dating advice before your first date?
I've never been on a date.
I just got confused when you said "how was your home life in this regard pray tell"
Ok, well even though you have never been on a date, did your parents ever give you any advice just in case you ever did?
I don't think so, I don't really remember.
