What is a guy implying when he says “I want you to be mine” or “I want to make you mine”?

Is he implying it as a relationship like a girlfriend? Is he asking me to be his girlfriend or just stating he would want that? I am confused this guy I am talking to told me that a few times but when I asked him if he was asking me or just saying it would have been nice (because I moved to another city in the south), he said I’m telling you. So I assumed he wasn’t officially asking me to be his girlfriend. Now just yesterday he wrote me a very long message saying I wanted to tell you I want you to be mine, before saying why he likes me (he’s told me he liked me before though). Was he officially asking me to be in a relationship?

He's implying sex mostly. He clearly told you that he is TELLING not ASKING. I would suggest that you be extremely careful with guys like that. They can get PUSHY. The point is as many times he told you this, what do YOU WANT? You clearly do know what he wants because he told you. But you need to confront him what he is implying. Sex or a relationship.
