Is there a way to win back my ex girlfriend?

Anonymous
We were dating for nearly 5 years and our relationship was good. The issue is she seemed a bit slow in advancing in life, as in not wanting to get better both in the workplace and as a person (ex: not letting anyone walk all over her). Yes, she was a faithful, family oriented girl but it felt as if I had to put more effort/work in the relationship than her.

I explained about wanting to meet others and the reasons why it might be best to go our separate ways. I didn't want to cheat. No one deserves that. We broke up afterwards and remained as friends.

I was in a brief relationship with two girls for a while but both of them resulted so bad to the point they aren't even worth keeping as a friend. One is a drug user and smoker and the last one a real cheater. Those are obviously terribly qualities. I've dated others but it resulted in a disappointment over and over again. I decided to call my ex girlfriend and asked to back but got rejected. She just wants to keep me as a friend and has been currently going out on a date. Is there a way to win her back?

I have to admit she has gotten better during our break-up and afterwards. Unfortunately I can't find those good qualities on another girl. I guess this is my curse for throwing away something good. I changed her for worthless girls. I just wish she would accept me back. Is there a way to win her?
