Girls, do you want a guy to kiss you at the end of a first date? If not, what would you do if he started to kiss you?

I posted this question A kiss at the end of a first date: what does it mean for you? and several guys responded with an explanation that they don't have the self-confidence to kiss a girl on a first date. How sad! If I am attracted to a lady and I feel that she will be receptive, I always try to get a good night kiss on a first date. My very strong impression is that women want a man who is confident and self-assured without being cocky; wanting to kiss her on a first date shows her, in a positive way, that I am assertive man and that I am definitely attracted. Sometimes, I sense that she is not receptive and I just give her a hug. I even had a date with one girl who held her hand out for a shake. But I never had a girl push me away or get angry. Do you want a guy to give you a good night kiss on a first date? If not, what would you do if you saw him moving in for a kiss?

You can tell in a guys eyes he wants to kiss you... when he leans forward to.. I just take a step back and say im not ready.. I dont push him but I dont turn to let him kiss my cheek either.. if he laughs and pushes himself onto me its happened before I couldnt push him away I turned my cheek and said I had to pee and instead of going to his bathroom I ran out his back door by his bathroom..

I do not!! No kissing... still a stranger to me Positive feedback with suggesting to go on a second date with joyful, excitement facial expression, words, that they enjoy the first date. to look forward to a second date. To communicate via phone calls to check in about how we are doing...
Take the time to form closer bond vs physical/ sexual tension... save that for 2nd, 3rd... dates... if when things still work out.

Normally no. Maybe if the first date went really well, and the other person was someone I knew well, then maybe something short and simple. But normally no. I take a while to warm up to people. If someone tried anyway, I’d just step away, and if that somehow didn’t get the message across I’d say no thank you. If they had a problem with that then I’d get more dramatic, as well as cancel any future plans with them.

Only if he asks my consent. I have been sexually harrassed and since then i dont like it when strangers and people i am not comfortable with touches me without my consent. A guy from first date is still a stranger. So it would be inappropriate to kiss her except she makes it clear through her body language or words. For example if she is flirting with you and touches your neck, it may be ok to kiss her

That kiss seems perfect! and yeah, if the date goes well and I can feel there's a spark between us then I'm hoping for a goodnight's kiss but the problem is you usually can't say where are their boundaries and many guys often think the date went well when in fact you didn't feel the same way...

If he went for a kiss and I didn't feel comfortable he'd probably missread every sign I was giving him, I'd politely decline it and hug him instead.

Probably not... I think I've told you about my past trauma and the fact I'm legit scared to even be hugged by a guy. So a kiss would send me into a panic attack. For me that would have to come way later, when I'm comfortable and he asked first if it's ok

It's not that difficult, to just ask the girl if she wants a kiss or not. It may be awkward but it'll be great if guys do it out of respect.

A first date is too soon for a kiss. It takes me time to want to take that step with a guy even if I find him attractive. If a kiss just happens and I haven’t developed strong feelings for that guy it’ll make things awkward and eventually I wouldn’t want to move forward with dating. I would rather get to know him and as time goes on I’ll start to see him often. I’ll start thinking about him and say “Wow, he’s funny and a decent guy.. he smelt really good.”

No I would not want a guy to kiss me on the first date. But all women and young women are different it definitely depends on the women.
