Why do you think YOUTH is more of an importance or primary factor in attractiveness in women as opposed to men?

I’m not saying youth in men is not important, but I think we all can see how this factor is vastly different between men & women.

Biologically, this is true and has been studied.

For women, them being young or looking more youthful is one, if not, the most important factor in their attractiveness.

For men, actually, it’s not nearly the same. For men, things like facial hair, a more rugged/robust facial structure, and maturity are hallmarks for what makes them attractive.

A man who looks too youthful or looks very young can give off a boyish look, which women do not seem to like generally speaking.

A man who looks more mature is more attractive to women because of the implied resources, success, and skills/abilities he may have.

A woman who is young/youthful implies more fertility.

This is evolutionary biology.

Also, have you ever wondered why women are usually the younger ones in relationships?

When I was a young man, I didn't understand how a man could be attracted to a woman over the age of 25. Teens and girls in their early 20s. . . THOSE were the hot chicks. When I was 23, I dated a woman who was 46 years old and she wasn't hot at all, but there was something about her that attracted me and she certainly was eager and enthusiastic between the sheets! I surmised that some older women retained some of their feminine charms as they got older.

When I was in my late 20's, I had come to realize that a girl didn't lose her looks at age 25 and many of them were still beautiful in their late 20's and early 30's. And when I was 40, there were actually some women as old as 50 who were attractive to me. Now, those younger girls were STILL very cute and very tempting in their own ways, but i never chased after younger women, I only admired them from a distance. But the women in their 40's were very satisfying for me.

Now I'm 66 years old and I was dating women anywhere from 50 to 82, but mainly in their 50's. Of course, the women who are 82 are not attractive in the same way that younger women are, but I have grown to appreciate their beauty and perseverance and strength. . . and many of them still have a healthy libido!

So, to answer your question . . . looks are very important to younger men, but as we age, most of us come to be very satisfied by older women who the young guys would pass by without giving it a second thought.

It's ALL about  fertility . For all of history, having children was a critical part of long-term survival (at least, if you wanted to assure a comfortable end of life), because it was your children who took care of you in old age, and for most of history, your children are the ones who helped you on the farm or whatever you did as a job to survive. Men evolved to seek out women as close to the beginning of their primary fertility years as possible, as this was the best strategy to have children.  And even though today we can have sex without the likelihood of pregnancy (which is a fairly recent phenomenon), our attraction to youth/fertility is still very deeply ingrained in the male instinct.

Personally I'm not typically interested in women unless she's at least 10+ years my senior.
Smarter, hotter, sweeter and just in general more awesome.
Other than that I'm actually kinda sad that what you described in men is 100% true since it's lead to most of my teens and 20s having been spent alone and not knowing what it's like to have someone touch me or whisper sweet nothings in my ear like my beau likely inevitably will have had. And the accompanying jealously won't be something fun to work through.
Then again, I avoided a lot of heartbreak and manipulation and abuse that she'll have likely been through.
It's just all a numbers game. Empathize with whomever, doesn't matter their age or their whatever, Someone at 50 deserves to be alive and loved just as much as someone at 15 or 25.

I think a person's essence is more of a primary factor of attractiveness in the long run for people who want to find someone compatible. Cause a person as an individual will "make up for" or compliment their appearance. My boyfriend said he didn't find me physically attractive but me as a person is what really made him attracted towards me and soon came to love my body as well. In context the attraction in this question would be for finding someone you want to spend ur life with. Cause I doubt anyone should or would spend their life with someone just for making babies? Cause some people are infertile or just can't have biological children for whatever reason which is valid (if they wanted children there's many different ways to have children).

Biology, yes appearance can be a factor for attraction in terms for fertility but society just amplifies that to make us think we should be attracted to a certain appearance.

Most young women are not attracted to white hairs, wrinkles, bald spots, weight gain, muscle loss , erectile dysfunction in men. Biologically young men in their 20s and 30s produce the healthiest offspring. This is the reason why women typically are not attracted to old guys in their 40s-60s. We are most attracted to those who are capable of producing healthy offspring. The average age of marriage for men was 33 in 2020. Its not 43.

Your gossip and rumors about how men get more attractive as they age is just a ruse made up by insecure, aging, old , single men who can never get any woman to look their way. Its a way for them to assuage their own worries about being single forever.

meh, women are younger cause maturity level of those "older" men is on that lower level. Think about it, people way younger than you are so immature and mentality of a kid in your eyes. Its like dating a kid, whod want that if not another kid? How could you connect with your partner if he/she is a kid? Then there sure are exceptions when younger person can be more mature for their age. point is looks aren't everything.

I don’t think youth is necessarily attractive to all people at all times. It depends where people are psychologically. It also depends how good a persons DNA is and how sexually experienced they are. A lot of older men and women look very young. Some younger women like an older mans body or some younger men find older women a lot more attractive rather than younger females. I think it all depends on the personality of a person and the intelligence. Also what they are seeking out of the sexual relationship. Sex can be a basic slam or it can be one of the most amazing, uninhibited, naughty, body trembling, erotic moments leaving you feeling the best you ever have and craving it again. Those different variables are effected by people having different sexual preferences other than just always going for the typical younger man or woman. Women have a limited time to have a baby naturally, so that’s a part of it.
Now you said yourself that it’s not that youth isn’t important in men, but a lot of men certainly aren’t getting the picture. I keep hearing men tell other men that they’ll be in their prime at 40-50. That’s false except for financially, and financials only make up a smart portion of a man’s value.
A man’s sexual and romantic value is more within his physical fitness and his willingness to please his partner. Next, his abilities to protect and provide. A man over 40 has already lost a great deal his his sexual desirability. He might have more money but that doesn’t make a woman’s panties wet. I’ll just leave it at that.

Historically that's the case, we were advanced, properly educated, or seeing more about society for only 300 years. Women prefer older men for their security and resources. Men prefer the young most fertile women.
Now sexual health can degrade for both sexes with age. But for offsprings security, women need resources which they couldn't get earlier without men's help. Gathering resources for family can take years. But looking pretty and bearing a child is very easy to work compared to that. Men are marrying totally broke women for centuries. Of course, those women had to do housework afterward but the initial criteria for marriage were almost none where men must had to have resources to marry someone. Because women mature before men. When I was 15, I had a 25 year old going after me. And even though I was naive, I was still aware enough to realize I was more mature than him. And its usually like that. Immature guys go after young women because those young women are more their same maturity level. Sexual attraction is instinctual, based on a person's ability to 1) produce healthy children and 2) raise them to adulthood. So naturally younger women are more attractive. But that's just instinct -- first impressions.

In my opinion men seek out youthful women BC we perceive their attractive youthful appearance as an instinctive link to her vitality to help create healthy offspring. Whereas older men contribute hereditarily seasoned genes of ability.
We seek out younger more attractive women simply BC we subconsciously want the best chance of survival for our lineage. Its hard to completely disregard your internal instincts.
