Junior and Freshman together in high school?

Looking for others opinions on the matter of juniors and freshman being together. I'm a Junior (16) and I personally wouldn't do it.

However,(Not to get cocky) but I have been regarded as a good looking person and therefore have been asked for my number by a few freshman on a couple of occasions. But I reject because of the age difference (They were all 14).

Was this the wrong move? How do you guys and gals see a freshman and a junior together? Do you think it's right?

I kind've felt bad rejecting those people simply because of the age. I know I would be disappointed if I had the courage to walk up to someone and ask for their number only to get rejected because of the age difference.

No. it was the smart move because you're heading towards adulthood and you don't know these girls. They mostly want to only date you because you are older, your a junior almost a senior, they want to look cool because of reputation and their status increases, they more and likely want to experience sex, and it's basically superficial. It's not love and these girls are only caring about themselves.

At least you have good logical reasons to tell the girls no even though you wouldn't want to deliberately hurt them in any way. Much respect. Plus they're extremely young. Dating shouldn't even be on their minds at such a young age. Not at 14. Most girls make serious mistakes at those ages. It depends on where you go, it is extremely rare, but it often does not last longer than a year. Plus once those girls date has sex they start going from guy to guy eventually trying to keep up. Not all of them, but most are not the same again and you may be blamed for getting involved. Best not to. You're being an adult at 16. So much respect. Someday they may thank you when their older.

I saw it in high school, but it wasn't super common. Most parents were against it.

I knew of some seniors dating freshmen. Also one person who was the age of freshmen dating her classmates who were seniors.

When I was in high school. I never saw a 16 year old boy dating a 14 year old girl. It might be OK.

Sure. Nothing wrong with that. I was 2 years ahead of my girlfriend now wife all through school. We met when I was in 10th and she was in 8th grade. 15 and 13 years old.
