So this guy and I have history.. knew him for a year now; met while he was in law school. We took some time off from seeing each other while he got his life figured out because he was looking for work and possibly moving far away. After months, he got his first job as a law clerk here at home. Within the first week of being hired he contacted me and wanted to start seeing me again now/start over (his words) now that he had a job and knew he wasn’t moving away.
So, I was ecstatic. But... he’s a week or 2 in his new job and he’s already mad busy. He told me he fears reopening doors with me because of this. He cancelled our date Monday because he had his first trial at this job, so we haven’t even met up yet. He said he’d contact me when he knows when we can go out. Well, that was Tuesday. I still don’t know when I’m going to see him again.. I thought maybe he’d just ask for the weekend if he’s busy but he hasn’t even said anything. I know he’s super busy right now at his new job and I don’t want to be too demanding too early on when we’ve hardly even started again. But also I don’t know how busy he is and if he has free time and my mind starts to overthink and I fear he’s instead going out with other women. Like he cancelled on me because he decided he’d rather see someone else. Because why not make more set plans with me? He’s just like “I’ll keep you posted” and now it has been 2 full days. I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot here by applying pressure and texting too much or being too needy. Can someone give me advice?
