I'd have no idea if he had a friends with benefits when we first start dating, or if I had one he would have no idea.

Dating though is a little different than being in a relationship, I have dated multiple guys at once, but never more than one boyfriend at a time. If I have a boyfriend, then I only date him.

The real problem though is if someone does have a friends with benefits, if they'd stop once you get committed, especially if you didn't even know about it.

If we're going on "dates" then we're getting to know more about each other and seeing how we mesh. If we aren't in a committed relationship yet and haven't had that talk, then yes I would.
I never date random people though. We have to be somewhat friends or acquaintances before I go on a date.
If it's early and feelings aren't quite clear, then i don't see an issue.

Honestly i never asked the girls I date if or not they have a side piece because usually I'm not looking something serious and would rather live out the experience without worrying about who else and doing what.
