Like many others I gained a lot of weight during the last two years and lately becuase my sizes go up and down as I try and sometimes fail to lose weight, I dress mostly for comfort when I’m not working, my boyfriend now says he’s embarrassed to be seen with me as my casual day to day outfits make me look like a slob and it reflects on him yet won’t tell me what he’d find more suitable

You already know the answer, just get on a diet already, I'd fast myself to the BONE before I got overweight. Here is how simple it is below

1. Intermittent Fasting
2. Drink a half gallon to gallon of water per day
3. Take 5,000 Steps per day (count them out while walking, it makes it go faster)
4. Stop eating junk food

Fasting would never give you anorexia. You have enough fat storage to fast for months. You have to do your own research. With your obesity you can do OMAD like fats 23 hours and eat in 1 hr window 500calories is possible little af food. Or do periodically fasting longer hours like 48 hours fast eat one day only and repeat/ a body as yours would never get anorexia ever. You can look up doctors who talk about it like dr Berg etc.
do cardio. Start to lose weight soon I don’t give a fuck about your boyfriend or your guys you can die anytime your health is in risk. Love yourself first who gives a shit if your boyfriend is ashamed of you drop his ass now and HEAL YOURSELF asap.

To answer your qs if he is ashamed of you make yourself a favor and leave him. You need to be with someone WHO motivates you exercise… motivates you fix yourself. And not out you down by saying he is ashamed of you. Don’t be with him.
