Me and my boyfriend are in a fairly new spot, but have been “official” for just about a month. I noticed that a girl he went out with before me was still texting him. He said it was nothing and that he tries to ignore it, but still wants to be somewhat friendly. She even offered to send him a Valentines present.
It kinda bothered me, so I brought it up. I asked if he told her he was dating someone new. He said he didn’t, because he didn’t plan to say anything to her at all (as in just not respond). Was I wrong for asking? I don’t want to seem crazy jealous, but I didn’t want to hide my feelings about it. Trying not to do that anymore.

Not wrong at all!! You should always communicate in a relationship, especially if something is bothering you.
I had the same as you and it's actually quite hard to deal with and boy's never seem to really get it. It gets easier with time and trust will build between you both :) At the same time speak to him and explain why it makes you uncomfy, if he respects you he should make a change like telling her etc.

My boyfriend asked his ex to stop messaging him and acting like she was obsessed with him and he stopped talking to her himself to make me feel more comfortable :)

You're playing this correctly. You saw something you weren't comfortable with and let him know about that discomfort. He gave you an answer.
