Girls, When should I message a girl I recently slept with?

So for context:
I went out for a friend's birthday over the weekend, it was a daytime drinking thing which went on into the night. The woman (Let's call her Amy) I met is a friend of the birthday girl and through the day we all get drunk but me and her start to flirt. We all end up back at Amy's place. The birthday group decide to leave but Amy tells me to stay. I stay, we sleep together, wake up the next morning.

I have work to go to so leave quite abruptly, but message Amy later to apologise for leaving so suddenly and how I'd like to have stayed longer. I ask her out for a drink to which she says she's busy next weekend but possibly free weekend after.
This was on Sunday, Monday she added me on Instagram. We've not spoke since Sunday, should I message her, perhaps asking how her weeks going, or making a joke about something which happened on the birthday party?
I don't know her too well and our mutual friend has said she's quite a spontaneous person so maybe this is a regular thing for her.

Sorry if I've rambled here, I really quite like her and would like it to go well and I've been overthinking A LOT.

Doesn't hurt to reach out. Just be prepared that she may indeed be busy and not have much time to respond.

I would make it casual and to the point. Maybe mention how you are looking forward to getting together again for drinks.

When should I message? We haven't set a date, but between initially asking and next weekend seems a bit long to not be in contact. But on the same hand say I message today would that be too soon?

It's more the impression I give which I'm more tenuous about rather than her replying at all.

What do you think about right in the middle and do it this weekend? You could give enough time but have an excuse to message.

Maybe you can say on Friday or Saturday, "Hey, I was out with some friends and it made me think about getting together next weekend if you still want to." Something like that.

That way, you aren't bothering during the week when she is busy and may not have much time. Also, it doesn't look pushy or too early and makes sense as to why you would be messaging then.

I like this idea. I'm thinking of messaging Thursday (not quite half way but not weekend). Like I'd start by making a small joke about something from my week which reminded me of her and the basically asking when she'll be free and when I am. Unfortunately I have something on that Saturday evening which I can't get out of so if that's her only free day I'm screwed.

Yeah. I like that idea too. Not too soon and not too long. Close enough to the weekend that you could still mention going out or whatever. Keep it light and not a bad idea to joke a bit if you know her humour. Good luck!

The more I think about it the more Thursday is making sense by the way. So, that gives you a chance for her to confirm the following weekend. Then, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday of next week you can follow up and make more concrete plans. Yup, I like it. 👍
