It goes like if you have sex with someone, a tiny part of you soul goes with them and you get a part of their soul. So if you have sex with a lot of people, you start feeling empty kinda. And in future if they are going through a negative phase, you can feel that energy.
Do you believe in this? Literally or metaphorically?

I don’t believe it on a literal level, I am an atheist, but I feel like logically it makes sense. When it comes to dating and I constantly keep on dating people who are not what I need, I kinda feel more lonesome and emptier. There’s just a lot of small talks and shit and I think it doesn’t really help me grow. Plus, I pick up on people’s energy very easily

No, they don't get a bit of your soul. That's BS. And if casual sex makes you feel emptier, the easiest solution is to find other ways to get your needs fulfilled, a boyfriend would work.

There's nothing wrong with hookups as long as you are clean and checkups are regular. And willing. I don't think relationships are for everyone, but sex is biological motive. It's okay to blow off some steam from time to time. Don't let his words become your conscience or something.

If you still don't feel comfortable with the idea, just don't do it.
