Have you ever known anyone who was single where you thought 'wow how on earth are they single'?

Like they just seem like the type people would be attracted to? Like they’re very good looking, maybe very confident in how they carry themselves. You just get the impression that this is the type if person most would want in a relationship and yet they’re single for whatever reason. Ever thought that?

I've gotten that a few times lol. I got multiple reasons why but anyways ever had this feeling about other people?

I'll pick the third reason here too. Most people, especially girls who don't know me also ask me how and why I'm still single (even if they aren't even willing to date me, but ok) and it's one of those questions that after a while I've grown tired off and stopped answering altogether. Like, why are you even trying to ask me that if you aren't even interested? Just to poke fun at me?

Anyways, the answer I give people is pretty much what this meme you posted here says. I jokingly tell people I'm incapable of loving and for people to love, but the real answer is that I'm not interested in having a relationships at the moment. The confidence I have right now and the way I carry myself have all been the result of many long years of unsuccessful attempts at love, countless rejections and just plain abuse and bullying, and I don't plan on wasting any more time than necessary on people I'm not interested in or people who just wanna "be friends". No thanks, I have enough as it is. Don't need more.

No, I can’t remember ever thinking anything close to that! I assume you mean incredibly good looking? There are so many reasons to not want to be in a relationship, especially when you just got out of a relationship, and it was a very painful break-up. And then there are girls who were assaulted by a guy she dated, and may be terrified that it will happen again? The thing is we girls talk to each other about our problems and issues, so we usually know what someone is going through, and why they perhaps don’t want to get into another relationship this soon after whatever happened.
The one time that I AM surprised, or thought “wow”, is when someone I know goes through a bad break-up, and rather than take time to mourn the end of that relationship, they are right out with a new guy a few days later… Now THAT shocks me!

Yeah for my ex (now best friend who i could never imagine dating ) he's such a kind gentle soul and has had his heart played and broken so many times it baffles me why nobody decent wants to date him.

Long distance, at the time he was still very much heartbroken over his ex of 7 years, he's religious I'm not, he wanted a family, I was only 18 when we dated. Just so many reasons really

Yeah long distance is a no go for me. I could handle religious people but just not the very devout ones.

Yeah I had and still do not have a problem with his religion or being religious. I just felt like I was making him miss out on things he really wanted to go to because I wasn't comfortable going. Plus there is the occasional disagreement that comes along with it.

Someone I was flirting with last year before I met my partner. We were chatting everyday and I was thinking they’re amazing, how on earth are they still single? Then as the conversations started getting more personal, they started fetishising my past trauma and making me suuuuper uncomfortable. Later I come to find out that they’d sexually assaulted their ex many times, and still acted like they were the victim in their past relationship.

I can’t say I’ve ever come across someone who I was confused by them being single. In my eyes there’s always a reason why someone is single - it’s either due to bad/unattractive traits or they want to be single so that they can focus on themself.

And In the case of the guy I was talking about in my comment, I eventually found out why he was single 🙃

When you only know them on a superficial level one would wonder this, but in dating as much as I have (including successful, pretty girls) there is usually a very good reason they're single. Many have no idea how to go about getting into a relationship. Some entertain hookups because they don't understand dating, others will not even know how to keep up a conversation via text (with someone they're interested in). Others have bad habits, and toxic traits that guys run away from quickly.
