I texted him on the following Thursday after not hearing from him since Friday (our date) and said “heya :) you’ve been quiet this week. Just wanted to say I really enjoyed our date and would love to see you again”. He replies , almost immediately “hey hey sorry been so busy it was such a pleasure great to meet you”. To this - I did not respond because I thought he was rejecting me. Then I find he has unfollowed me on Instagram.

we had the most amazing date - no awkward silences, wine flowing, sexual chemistry, flirting and joking. And an amazing kiss at the end. He made a roast and garlic bread, there was a fire and wine and music playing.

help - what went wrong? :( what do I do?

You will never truly know why he isn't interested. That's the why rejection works most of the time. He rejected you after a good date. This means he wasn't the right fit for you. You clearly missed something in him that didn't align with you. He saw it and maybe didn't share.

or maybe... He dated another girl and she was prettier. Could be literally that simple. You'll never know so don't get emotionally involved with any of those ideas. You don't know. You'll never know.

I was going to say that he may not have appreciated a garlicy kiss, but if he made and served it himself... unless you ate it all and didn't SHARE it, or he's secretly a vampire, I'm at a loss. The sad truth is, you'll probably never know; people usually reject you and then move on without explaining.

It could be accidental that he unfollowed you. I would ask him what's up. If you don't get an answer than he probably isn't interested. Maybe he has another girlfriend or something else might have turned him off.
