When I was a bit younger a guy expressed interest in me and came on really strong. Almost like loveboming me by telling me how much he liked me and how great I was without really knowing me. I suppose I fell for it because I reciprocated. I thought he might really be deeply interested in me. Well, fast forward we talked for a bit on the phone and then one day we agreed he'd come to visit me. We hadn't been on any dates just talked. But, we were supposed to go out. Anyway, I agreed to let him visit because at the time he allegedly was going out of town for awhile and wanted to see me. One thing lead to another and we ended up having sex... unprotected. Yes, stupid I know. He had very much expressed that he wanted a long-term relationship with me and I took him seriously. Well, fast forward again and I found myself in a purely sexual relationship with him.
Eventually, I broke things off but I have always wondered did he stop taking me seriously because we had sex quickly? Is there still a double standard when it comes to women? Why might this guy not be perceived as easy but I might be?
