Should you "Stop searching, then you will find love" or "Try to meet love halfway, keep on the pursuit"?

Many times I've been told that love will find me sooner or later, that if it's meant to be, it will happen. I'm 23 and so far no luck. I don't like to drink so socializing isn't really the best skill of mine.

At the same time people say that you should go and search for love, not just wait but then they say (again) that if you keep on pushing it, you won't find it.

What is a single person supposed to do then?

I do hope the text makes sense.

Stop searching and pursuing, then you will find love (if it's supposed to happen)

Try to meet love halfway, keep on the pursuit (even though it could make you desperate)

Neither works (if you're unlucky, then nothing can change that)

I think it comes down to trying to "be out-there" so Love can find you.
So I guess you'll have to put me in the "keep on the pursuit" camp.

I do not believe that some people are unlucky and nothing can change that.

I do not believe that "if it's meant to be, it'll automatically happen".

I think you have to be somewhere you can be found. Whether that's being on a dating site, or being social in some other way, I think that the person LOOKING FOR YOU needs to have some chance of actually finding you.

Hang in there. Many people find Love later than 23 🙂

That might work for women, but in my experience, it doesn't work for guys. As a guy, if you stop searching you likely won't find it. For a women, it's a coin toss.

I spent almost all of my 20s looking for love and didn’t find it until I stopped looking once I turned 30. I’m no expert on these things but now that I’m in a relationship, I wish I did more of what I was doing right before I met my current boyfriend, and that was focus on myself. I wouldn’t say to stop looking entirely, but maybe redirect your focus a bit.
