Need advice for a first date please?

So I met this girl online that lives near me, we hit it off, I asked her out and she said yes.

Now that part was stressful enough for me, but I haven't been on a proper date in like 12 years. We're going somewhere we both agreed on, with food and drinks etc but do you all have any advice for me? I've no experience of this adult dating stuff as embarrassing as that is to say

Gentle and Confident energy, Manners-From the car through garage into restaurant... herd her keeping her in Safe position... like walking on the traffic side of the sidewalk with her on the inside. ahhh I've been here before my friend and I'm older than you :). I think a lot of people try so hard to make good first impressions that they then forget how fun the date should be. Let it flow, let it flow. Tell her she looks nice, compliment her on a couple of things, put your phone away and dont touch it while on the date, aske her the general get to know you questions, job, family,, etc.. I wouldn't bring up past relationships and/or exes unless she does. Smile a lot, dont seem to anxious, even if you are. Make eye contact and seem interested when she is talking. Try to find something you both have in common while you are getting to know each other. Be a gentleman, open the car door or other doors for her. GOOD LUCK !!

Keep the conversation lively. Ask many question and reserve judgements as best you can. Be polite but not a doormat. And keep you expectations low. You met her online so understand ANYTHING could walk through that door.
