If you've been single for a long time do you ever get used to it? Also, do you ever doubt yourself and believe that most women wouldn't like you?

Is that the consequences of being alone all of your life? You just get used to it and that's why you don't date, talk to anyone, or even chase women.

That's how I feel at times I just see people get into relationships like nothing while I try and no one really cares. Most of the time I lie to myself and say that's every fine 🙂. Other times I see moderately attractive girls and just say to myself that they will never like me. 😢 Then, I just move on and see couples holding hands and just feel worse because I have no idea what that is like. 🥺🥺🥺

Then, later I get sad or push it in the back of my mind 😔

my usual, and in average... was for me to just remain single and never ever date or anything between relationships, this would last about four or six months close to a year

and that was never ever an issue to me, the exception was these years of pandemia, two of years or more is something I never had before but again... it was not a big deal to me, because I just don't make anything out of it in my mind, the reason why I remained single were my reasons, and valid ones too, needed ones... I just had a lot of shit to do and take care of, which required a lot of time and effort, so I was not even considering or thinking of a relationship which, if I had any or did seek for one, I would just not have enough time to dedicate to someone in the way I do like to dedicate to someone

the pandemia is behind though, but I am still not rushing into anything... whatever happens will happen and when it does, it will be good and great as it always has been when I never forced or rushed through things

now, about doubting and believe negative things about women, I never had reasons to do so and I do not have reasons to start now, women do like me and always have and that is because I am a likeable person

From my experience when you stop seeking it, that is when it will find you.

So until then, work on yourself. Learn something new everyday.

Before you know it many things will have changed. (yes they will regardless)

Also, if you find someone attractive, the worst that can happen is they reject ya if you approach them. However, it will happen 100% of the time if you never take the chance.

I can relate, as the area I grew up in had a great portion of the population was a relation in one form or another, so dating was never a thing growing up. Even after school I was rarely in a relationship. I had a few, but I tend to be a beacon for crazy in a manner of speaking. So I have just gone with the flow since, especially since the last relationship I had.

I can relate in it being lonely at times.

Is there a reason you barely talk to the ladies?

Some of my favourite things that I miss when I was single:

• The unpredictability: I don't know who I am going to meet or what's going to happen. I take opportunities and I enjoy them without too much expectation.
• Working on myself: like going to the gym, journaling, going to therapy, working out what I really want in a partner
• Having fun: I used to go on nights out without any kind of accountability. Even going to bed at 8pm without telling someone you're tired and explaining why is a blessing.

Or is it? For me I don't go out as much because I don't drive nor do I go to the gym. I do like napping at weird times and playing video games for as long as I want.

It's relatively normal. A guy and a girl were complaining about their relationship status. The girl said she was sad because she's 40 and not married or dating. The guy was sad because at 32 he's never had a girlfriend or been on a date. The guy had it worst because the girl at least knew that some guys liked her, for the guy he couldn't be sure that any girl would like him. I felt the same way as you did before I got a girlfriend. I was unsure whether anyone other than my family could love me.

You can’t get used to it if you don’t want to. Do you want to? If you want to be comfortable with being single, then invest in yourself. Stop being so preoccupied with dating and relationships. Spend more time with family and friends. Get pets.
If you want a relationship, then invest in the things that attract the kind of people you want to attract, but do so meaningfully. Otherwise the charade will be apparent and you still won’t get the attention you seem to crave. Either way, you have some decisions to make and some work to do.
