Why do people NOW want to date me?

Before I got a girlfriend nobody online expressed interest in me, and I was actually on a dating site (which is designed for finding people for dates). Now that I have a girlfriend (and deleted or deactivated the dating profile), 3 people have wanted to date me. Two expressed interest, but one wanted money and the other wanted to sext with me if I was a girl, so I don't count them. Yet 3 people asked me to date them. Why did this only happen after I couldn't date them? Granted I wouldn't have dated the guy, but I would have dated either girl if they asked while I was single.

I should mention, none of them knew me, none had even seen me. They knew my username and my profile picture, that's it.

I have heard somewhere that women value the opinion of others more than they value themselves. For example, if they see you with a girl, they're gonna think that if this girls like you, then you must have something good even if they can't see it.

Personally, I believe that this is probably a bias we all have but girls have it even more.

I have already answered this very question several times, women are more attracted to men who are already in a relationship than single men. Thus, there is evidence that copy mate choice applies to humans, as well as being a widely observed phenomenon throughout the animal world.

I wonder if it's that the actual girlfriend lent you legitimacy. Like, it's a sort of vetting? So the other girls say, "Oh, she's willing to date him? He must be okay."

I have asked this very same question. Right after I got married I was hit on by 3 girls. One of them was really hot and she really put some effort into tracking me down.
