What does it mean when guy says after a date ” we connected better in person but in a distant way”. I didn’t really understand that comment?

Did he want that us touch each other ( we didn’t touch at all during the date) or he wasn’t that attracted to me? Did he think I wasn’t attracted to him since I was late and cut the date short after 1h?

That happened couple months ago.

Couple days ago I saw him. He was standing near the entrance of the coffee house. The place was full so they were at the end of the que to the cash register.

So me and my friend wanted to go to that coffee place too. We were walking towads the entrance of that coffee place.

My ex was standing near the entrance of the coffee place. His back was towards me. His friend that was standing infront of him saw me. When I saw my ex I didn’t go inside the coffee house and walked past it ( I didn’t want to bump into my ex)

After that they head out of the coffee house and was walking behind us ! I then walked more faster with my friend and they went different way

Why did they leave the coffee house since they were already in the que?
