What do you think about a 12 year age gap when dating?

I have been enjoying the single life and not wanting to settle down, however I’ve met someone who I am starting to get feelings for. I originally thought it was just going to be as I like to call a one, done and run, however he is ticking all of my boxes on what I want in a guy. The only thing stopping me is the age gap. I’m 23 and he is 35. I’m scared of the judgement that might come from friends and family. Really need advice and opinions on whether or not 12 years is too much of a gap.

That is a large gap, however, I am going to encourage you to ignore all the possible outside influences. Instead, recognize that you both are from two different worlds and two different experiences. You are going to have to understand his time and world and he will have to do the same. Focus on that part of your relationship and see if you two can communicate in a natural and free flowing way.

If either one you do not feel comfortable living in each other's world then it is a no go. there is no shame in it if you decide his thinking and being is too old for you, etc. Good luck with him !!

Darling I’m 26 and I've wasted my life on older men thinking it was the thing but men will groom you until your no good to them anymore then go for someone younger when you hit 30 and got kids for them remember it’s easier for a man with kids to move on than a woman with kids at 30

I agree that most older men would be like this and would groom. The thing is we didn’t know each others age when we first met as it was at a gig. We ended up having a spontaneous date night afterwards and only after waking up the next morning we actually asked each others age. Both of us were shocked haha. I also do not want marriage or children. But I do agree that men have it easier when it comes to those things
