Im wondering if he’s too young. I dated an 18 year old guy when I was 22 and now I’m 24, I’ll be 25 this year. I try to look at mentality as well because maybe he could be mature but I don’t know. I do notice older men date younger girls too and I am one of those girls who is open. I usually date 18-36 if the guy and I click. Thoughts?
Most likely, he likes your profile picture and what you say in it. By liking it, depending on what app/site you're talking about, that might allow him to send you a message.
The question you're really asking though is should you date younger guys.
It's only 6 years difference in age. If it were to develop into something long term, when you're 60, he would be 54 ... is that a problem?
There's two pieces to this I think.
First, he likes because he thinks she's cute or he wants to get to know her better or some combination of the two.
Second, you've got the right outlook. It's about maturity and compatibility and I think we (people in general, not you) put waaaaaaay to much emphasis on the age number.
Either he was attracted to you or was just mindlessly scrolling I wouldn’t overthink it he is not a minor you are free to get to know him if you wish he’s not too young however there may be lack of common ground just because he’s still a teenager and you’re mid 20s, but age is not a huge deal. He probably thought you were cute most guys don’t care about age.

These are usually attempts to get your attention. Its up to you if you’d like to start up a convo with him or not. Or just wait if/until he messages you directly instead of this small stuff.
I'm not sure it makes ANY difference. I have gotten attention, from much younger, very pretty women, and I find it FLATTERING. When younger, I dated women that were older than I and I also found that flattering also. Why question it?
I don't see a reason why you should have a problem with him being slightly younger than you. My girlfriend is 5.5 years older than me
Very few adults are mature. Most are controlled by circumstance.
The answer to any and all questions about “why does a guy like…” something about a female, is “Vagina”
