it depends on how much the Halo Effect and Devil Effect applies to the individual

nobody is attracted to the stereotypical nerd with the ugly appearance, bad outfits, bad jokes, childish hobbies etc. when describing a stereotypical, people will often describe a dork, geek, dweeb, incel, gamer, loser etc. and other negative qualities

sure if the nerd looks like Henry Cavill or Connor Murphy, then that's a yes but they don't look like stereotypical nerds, they're just nerdy Chads

fun fact, a lot of famous Chads used to be nerds. Zyzz used to look be the stereotypical nerd who couldn't get laid and was made fun of but ever since he became a Chad and ditched his former life, his life turned around completely. Andrew Tate sounds like a dumb jock but his father was a grand chess master and Andrew has display intellect that normally nobody expects from a "toxically masculine" fighter

long story short, only hot nerds are attractive. ugly nerds are unattractive. hobbies and interests are irrelevant and only serve to amplify or reduce one's attractiveness

I'm attracted to people who are skilled in areas of interest to me: some of that might be called being nerdy. I have friends who are well-read in music, both playing or having knowledge of groups. I have a son who's an audio tech and knows how to set up a synthesizer for bands, and who also plays several instruments. He's just started on the flute. I dabble in guitar, piano, have tried the drums and the concertina. I own an old violin I would love to learn! Time's running out!

If a nerd is someone who knows a lot about some subject or skill, then I'm always interested in people well-versed in areas I find fascinating, but don't have the time do learn myself. Achievers are usually interesting.

Depends. I donโ€™t nerd about your typical stuff like manga, comics, video games etc. My interests solely lie in the academia range. Iโ€™m interested in biology, specifically genetics, immunology, physiology and recently got into paleontology. Iโ€™m also into psychology. I like nerds who are not show-offs. I donโ€™t like people who judge others for their preferences and hobbies. If he is a decent person with a good personality that Iโ€™m compatible with, then Iโ€™m game.

I was recently talking to doctor on a date, and she was a miss on every other topic. The moment I started talking about diseases namely my Asthma she got excited. Like I dont want to relate to her via diseases some poeple need help.

I like a healthy balence, nerdy as in insightful but dont be a lunatic start romantic feeling because my symptoms show early signs of COPD.

    nope

    Anybody can be a nerd.

Not everybody can get on my level, though. That's most impressive.

Nerds? Mostly remember a lot of stuff. I like someone who broke the mold when he was born. I know I did.

I'll fuck (just about) anyone, though. Luckily, we all come with penises and vaginas, so if he doesn't get me- we can fuck and be on our way.

A nerd is generally someone who is very smart and passionate about their field of study. They pay attention and are good listeners. I'm all for that.

Or are you more looking at an 80s nerd? One who's good at math, is a computer programmer, or a gamer? Cause I work in that profession.

This question reminds me of the tiktok "come here" guy. He did a video the other day on women who say they like "nerds".😆😆😆

Women have a VERY skewed view of what a nerd is. When a woman says she likes a guy who's a nerd she means a handsome guy, SLIGHTY awkward and introverted. Maybe he's seen anime once. Maybe he can reference a Marvel movie once or twice. Maybe he's even casually been to a Comic-con.

She DOESN'T mean an actual NERD!😆😆😆

Leonard an Penny are Cute, but most nerds do not get that polished. And most women if they resort to an actual nerd it's short lived and she despises him the entire time. 😆😆😆

I'm not attracted to nerds in terms of the physical implication or stereotype, like how pro league of legends players typically look (obese, pale, and don't look like they workout). But I do love reading manga and watching anime. And I do game. But I'm also interested in topics like philosophy, psychology, health, technology, society, nature, and travel. The main thing is that people are attracted to others with similar interests because they love sharing experiences talking about or doing something they love.

In short, yes I love nerds.

I wish I could meet a nerdy girl. I love to read, and have passion for writing novels. It would be a dream come true to be with a nerdy girl I can talk to about a book I just finished or are currently reading, and take an interest in her reading material to.

And then she could read my novels if she wanted, and tell me what to keep, what to change, if I should change anything at all,. ::Sighs:: oh, what a lonely life one leads when one flies solo in a sky of solitude.

It depends on if the term "nerd" is used to discuss the various strengths and weaknesses they have, or the focuses they have.

I like discussing various topics, but having someone who can't really carry a normal conversation is a huge turn-off.

@chris_987 When was at uni, there was a tabletop roleplaying games students club. I got curious and went there. Very cool people, lot's of fun. In most sessions, there was at least one girl. They were students of computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics and urbanism.

The guys, more than half of them had a girlfriend. Sometimes the girlfriend would play.

I think there are lot's of stereotypes that aren't just true.

People with extreme social anxiety might never get to be in the hobby, because it involves being with people. It's cool, because you will have more chances of finding people that are creative, authentic, open-minded and non-judgmental.

I tend to find myself attracted to "nerdy" women, since they're the ones who can hold actual conversations and you can sit and talk to them for hours on end about different topics about many different things.

Dealing with women who give short and brief responses to everything you talk about gets really old really fast.

If a woman is into archaeology, music, or another interest I have, that makes it even better.

I think when it comes to attraction, looks matter more, if a person is good looking and a nerd, people will still be attracted to them, if a person is perceived as less attractive but a nerd, then I don't think people many people will be attracted to them.

anything, there'll be always be a harsh rule above almost anything, LOOKS
