Why do people chase after people who don’t want them and aren’t even worth it, and reject people who show interest?

not everyone is like this. But many times people chase after people who show them little to no attention. Many times irs because they’re point blank not attracted or already in a relationship. But some people want what they just can’t have.

But they run when someone shows even the slightest amount of interest in them…

Could it be that subconsciously, they seek rejection... and it just so happens that when they think they're in the power role, they give rejection.

Reminds me of this girl sitting across from my friend and I. I was talking some shit about some shit to him and she interjected was some off bullshit with the intention of being insulting. I just looked at her and said, "I'm not talking to your ass am I you fucking bitch" and then started talking to my friend again. I figured she'd fucking hate me, but nope... I once again made yet another chick that is too tall for my taste have the hawts for me. She was sexy and all, but if a chick is taller than me, hell no. I want to bang midgets.

It was just weird... she was a frowny-faced stuck-up bitch when I was nice to her, but then she's crushing just because I'll talk shit and not even give a fuck. That's women for you... I've never met a dude that acts like that, but I have countless stories of chicks acting like that.

it isn't always so cut and dry when people send mixed signals these days, such as staring, watching, listening to their convos with others, being near them etc. it gives off vibes of shyness instead of not interested. a guy or girl who is uninterested doesn't do those things, i have had them done to me and its a mind f*ck trying to figure out the persons intentions or motives, it makes me say hey shoot a shot give them your info and see what happens but chase or even do more then telling them i have interest, nope.

Because we all want the hottest person, it’s natural. So we chase after the people with the best characteristics, while those people have unlimited options. both highly desired and less desirable individuals also chase after the best (most desirable). Leaving many feeling confused

I think they run because they’re in shock that they were chosen by the best. So they’re feeling insecure, having doubts, feeling not good enough, thinking they’re being played, etc

It's psychological. When someone knows they can't have someone, they want it more.

When someone is interested in someone else, the more that person rejects them, the more they want it, because they are curious about what it is like to be with them. One day if you really want to drive someone crazy, if someone asks you to tell them something about yourself, tell me as less as possible.

Attraction is caused by many different factors, lots of which happen subconsciously. Some are biological, some are psychological, some are cultural. The conscious stuff, the reasons you can explain why you feel attracted to someone, are usually just the tip of the iceberg.

How old are people who do that? It's a typical behavior for young teenagers. You feel strong attraction and you get woozy around the other person, and it seems to you that "love" is in the air between you, not just in your mind. Surely your crush must feel it, too...

It can be painful to learn it is not this way, but you must learn it.

Obviously, only go for women who show some initial interest. Attachment should build roughly equally throughout dating.

For me, anyways, it's because I was given terrible advice when I was young and first getting interested in dating. I was told things like "you should keep trying with her" or "you just need to prove to her you are the right one" etc.

It took trial and error and learning a few good things from pua or dating redpill advice sites before I was able to have a better grasp of reality.

When they try to date up…. Many times the people they want are also trying to date up
