(We are both in our 20’s) So my boyfriend, well now ex boyfriend, broke up with me a few days ago due to working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week and he’s now going to work everyday. He says that with the stress from that, his household, and money tight that it’s a lot on his plate as of now. he says his parents don’t think we should date from the distance, he lives 30 minutes from me and we hardly see eachother as it is which I don’t mind since I knew he was working a lot. So he told me he wants to stick as close friends until he can be fully committed to a relationship but isn’t sure when that will be and hopes maybe we could build something in the future. But he still tries to text me daily, and says he misses me, he loves me, and still calls me hun or babe with a bunch of hearts. I love him dearly and it hurts that he broke it off but I do understand with his work schedule and situation. But I just don’t know if I am being selfish to be upset and hurt over this, or if I should wait for him and see.
Superb Opinion
Having him in your life will keep you from finding a new guy. If he won't get back with you then cut him off. It sounds like he is not ready for a relationship because he is too focused on work.
