Unattractive people can’t find love and have low confidence due to being treated poorly and insulted regularly. Attractive people have to put in some effort in order to get sex or love but it isn’t much and their behaviors actions and words no matter how rude and hateful are overlooked simply for their captivating good looks.
Yep, less attractive people can’t find love on dating sites as much either.

Easier to find love when you have plenty of options to vet through, not so easy the other way
Gotta be easier to find love as an unattractive person. Most people are in the average category. Average might as well = unattractive these days.
But there's lots of people ready to settle.
It's harder to find love when you're attractive. People aren't looking for love. They're looking for the most attractive person they can get.
They're willing to lie and pretend and be fake in order to get what they want. Their own happiness depends on the attractiveness of their SO.
I think a lot of people are like that. They'd do anything to be with someone attractive.
I guess you stay that way until you realize hot people ain't shit and can be batshit crazy. Once you see that you look for more than just looks.
I wouldn’t say it’s hard but it can be a little challenging sometimes. I have a big crush on this one guy that I hope works out. I do need to text him about a test so I gotta study and then text him by today! But it can be a little hard as the ones that you find attractive can either be in a relationship or are playing a little hard to get. People can sometimes throw themselves to the more attractive people. I have a couple friends that have told me they like me several times and I’m not trying to be mean or anything but I think of them as brothers. And my other friends that know both of us flat out say to me that it wouldn’t work out. Everyone deserves happiness and eventually it will all work out! I’m hoping on my crush but all I gotta say is fingers crossed!
Depends on you definition of love. Pretty girls and handsome boys find easily some bed companions. But in love in terms of respect, trust, loyalty and affectionate intimacy, look doesn't really matter. What matter is their first partner. In every successful relationships in my family couples started to see each other with age 14-18. People are idealistic in this age so their emotional bond can deepen if one of them doesn't turn in pile of sh... Of course I have cold wine aunts who were 8+/10 in their 20ties, married and divorced 5 times and now with 50 no guy will even touch them with a 2m long pole. Love is complicated and good look doesn't give any guaranty for life long happiness.
Both have to work just as hard to sustain a relationship that will result in love. Where the differences come in is, let's say the people available for you to have a relationship with are all expressed by filling a pool with water.
Someone attractive will have a much larger volume in their pool compared to someone unfortunate looking. Though really it doesn't matter for the overwhelming majority of people as we're average looking (hence being the majority).
Anyway, if someone average has one bucket of water, someone unattractive may have 1/5 or 1/10, while someone very attractive has access to 50-100. At no point would there be a qualitative change though. From ugliest to prettiest, if you find the structure that makes you happy... say wife and kids, poly, whatever, then you win the game regardless.
If you don't, then that aspect of your life is unfulfilled regardless of how many potential partners you can or can't have.
I have seen some good looking people not even have to work to find anyone. I had this female friend once and she could snag a guy just by walking out of the house. She had 5 boyfriends a week on average, cheated on all of them, and had sex with all of them.
If I go out somewhere, I couldn't even get a girl to notice me. And I had this one guy friend who never had a girlfriend at all. Speaking from personal experience though, yeah, some people have to work for it.
That's how so many people end up with cheaters and in abusive relationships too. I guess with a narcissist, it would be hard to tell though, since they can fool anyone!
Almost every girl I dated, I had to have something to offer her. Money, sex, my car this one time. I The ones I didn't were rare. I think true love is just something people make up so people can reassure themselves, but that's just my opinion.
It really comes down to their personalities.
I would much rather be with someone that does not have a toxic personality, and for some reason many of the "good" looking people seem to have that.
Looks fade over time.
I have seen plenty of cases that someone that looks good now doesn't look so great when they get in their 30s or older. Especially depending on their lifestyle.
You actually have to like the person that you are with.
That to me is way more important than I'm so pretty.
It depends what you classify as "love".
Less attractive people have to work harder. They MIGHT even have to work a bit harder once in a relationship (i don't have enough data here to say for certain). But once in a relationships you're judged either on your merits or the other person's set of standards. This is why I say dating older is difficult. It's because women judge a guy by every relationship mistake she's ever made. This isn't fair to the guy but it is a reality. This is why it's very important to properly vet the person you're with before getting to involved. Determine whether she considers you Mr. Right. Or whether you're just her Mr. Right now. If it's the latter then just move on.
Im almost 40... and i have to say i dont care as much about women appearance as much as before. I have seen really beautiful women but they are so toxic that my female friends have told me thank god you two broke up because otherwise i would have ended in mental hospital.
So to me most important is how we click. Does she understand what i say, do we have similar world view, does she listen (if we have issues then she wanna sort it out and won't run away and pretend nothing happened) I want someone who is my sun and my peace :)
it depends because beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it depends on the environment and it depends on the woman your dating
I dated women that would be consider average but definitely fuckable to me because of the combination of things she brought to the table
I've also dated women who many men would consider highly attractive where men go out their way to do stuff for and personally I don't enjoy men trying to overstep my duties with my women, thats not usually something i deal with with average women.
My ex was just too damn fine, to be fair i was hella handsome when we dated, 6 pack muscles, she felt the same about me.
I think overweight men have a harder time than overweight women because a thirsty man will still sleep with a fat woman but women don't operate that way

I've met maaaany beautiful and smart women who have an extremely hard time finding a boyfriend.
Just to contrast that point - I've met plenty more women whoa re average in most or all venues of life, including looks, but have husbands and are very happy.
So, looks don't matter, what matters is luck, I'd say, first and foremost, and then everything else comes second.

Good question. I don't really know to be honest. Stups me a bit sometimes as well.
If I had to guess, I'd say it's either:
1. They have a RBF, so men seem kind of intimidated to approach thinking they'll get rejected.
2. They are way too focused on their careers and don't take time out of their day to actually meet anyone new.
3. They' can be kind of clueless when someone does like them - and the person or people that do like them don't go about it in a direct manner, so I guess this one is on both of them.
4. Maybe they really don't want a relationship, or at least this is how men perceive them - too independent and disinterested in having a romantic relationship.

So it is nothing that got to do with them being good looking and smart then. And it's things that could apply to anyone.
With that it would make it even harder for people who are less attractive and don't have as many who show interest in them.

It's all about luck (and probably some good social skills) and nothing really to do with looks.
That would be true if nobody cared about looks. But the fact is that the majority of people do care about looks to a certain degree at least. So then someone who are objectively better looking will automatically have more options to meet someone they find attractive and that they connect with!
My brother, dad and mom - all three are very good looking. I don’t think their lives have been any easier than other’s.
If anything, I can tell - mine has been easier, because I was always feeling like the least attractive member of my family, so I always tried to overcompensate with hard-working and intelligence, which in the end makes my life easier.

No wonder people often look similar, even if allowing for female and male look differences, it may not seem the exact same (different eye colours, different hair colours).

Love doesn't involve looks *that* much. People grow older, people grow familiar, hairs turn grey, wrinkles form. Hook-ups, definitely. The most attractive people in the world probably get the laid the most, especially men, but doesn't mean they find love any easier than the rest of us.
Ugly folk may need to work a little harder, but that doesn't mean it's a walk in the park for "fortunate" looking people. There are beautiful men and women who are just as lonely as anyone else, and if you think otherwise you're fooling yourself.

It depends. A person can have amazing genetics, but if they don’t take care of themselves, they’ll most likely not look good after a certain age. Good looking people who take care of themselves and enhance their best traits, have a lot of options. However, I wouldn’t be with someone who has a shitty personality. Looks and personality matter. There should be an equilibrium between both.
Love is different than infatuation. If you’re pretty, you can find a lot of people who will be infatuated with you or just want to sleep with you. But real love is different. It’s just as hard for a pretty person to find that as it is for anyone else.
Being “attractive” makes dating harder. Because you are likely to attract everyone and that includes trash. Also people will always assume you are taken, or in many relationships your partner will be insecure that you’ll leave them for somebody else, or your relationships are very shallow because people only use you for show.
entirely depends on what sort of partner they're going for. if they're going for an equally ugly partner, they'll have it equally hard or easy as more attracive people have it finding more attractive partners. it's always harder the more attractive the person you're going for is than you are.
Attractive looking people are only attractive to some, not all.
Example: I have a friend who says his girlfriend is really hot. I don't think she is at all. She's good looking but not hot. I'm don't think she's attractive.

Yes, less attractive people have to work harder to find love.. but not always.. it depends on your personality more I think. If you are outgoing and confident you have more chances to meet the right one for you.
Maybe because there more attractive people then them. I mean in a 2 mile radius you can find an attractive person. Nowadays dating apps are more dominant than traditional dating methods, as people can choose while looking at their bio. In this era we are categorizing people in terms of numericals, flags (red and green), and scientific terms like alpha, beta, gamma etc ( Einstein would be rolling in his grave). Now there are so many new terms are coming like real men, real women from instagram influencers or YouTubers are giving ado vices like how to be a real men and how to chase a real women, I mean what is the term “real”? People who are less physically attractive are now taking notes from them to become a “real” men or women and ignoring their actual strengths or abilities. I maybe wrong about something mentioned above but this is what I am understanding about today’s dating era.

Personality plays a major partwhen dating. I've dates guys who I wasn't physically attracted to because they were intelligent, funny, or we had great conversations.
I’m attractive. But trust me, it doesn’t make things that much easier. I mean just date someone in the opposite sex with the same attraction level. Then it’s not any harder no matter how attractive on unattractive you are.

Lets get this straight. Less attractive men have to work extremely hard to find love. Less attractive women not so much. As long as they have a decent body they can still find love relativly easy.

Plain looking guys need to exert extra effort to find love. Plain looking women have plenty of willing men available.
For a woman to get rejected by a million guys straight she’d have to be like extremely hideous.
Whereas average looking guys will still get rejected all the time.
I remember a model I went to college with who was a bit of an introvert. Most guys would never ask her out or even approach her because they were afraid of the rejection. I don't think it's that simple, theirs more involved than just looks.
