Would you be with someone outside your faith? (If you don't have a faith you can abstain from this question)?

This question was prompted by another G@Ger who asked about whether you'd date an atheist.

My faith is important to me. You have to at least be open to my faith for me to date you. And I would not marry a woman who was not Christian.

How bout you? How big of a role does faith play in your dating process?

An old boss brought me back to faith and although I haven't accepted God back in my life as much as I want, I see the good in following him. Maybe it's just my position but God teaches that part of our purpose is to be patient, accepting and letting the love of others show them what faith can bring. If the person I date doesn't have any faith but supports and accepts my faith, that's okay and it will be my hope that the goodness God brings will be a positive force in our relationship.

If they don't respect it or go against it and it's a source of negativity, then we simply aren't compatible and that's okay, we'll each find our partners out there.

My thoughts exactly. For two people to be successful they have to share core beliefs. This why I say I'd date a woman that was at least open to my faith. Nice take man!

Don't you get why? It gives them a chance to learn about and potentially accept my faith. It's like anything with dating if we're not compatible, we're not compatible.
