What's your take on age gaps and how would you make the first move?

I'm 32 and I met a man (60) at a family friend's dinner, to be honest I thought he was a lot younger. I found him good looking and I liked his personality/vibes. I couldn't help but notice he looked over a few times during dinner... could mean nothing, I know.

We didn't get the chance to talk much as there were a lot of people and I felt a little shy being that the family was around. I'm not going to lie, I'm interested in getting to know him. He lives abroad but visits often, I do not have his phone number but one of my parents do. How do I even approach the situation? Is it weird if I contact him?
This is a first for me so I don't know how to go about it.

I date within a year or two of my age. My thoughts on people that date outside what I am personally comfortable with? Good for them. Doesn't bother me and I don't look down upon it. If there is a big age gap but the relationship works then great. You can't help who you like. I find it less likely two people with a huge age gap would have things in common but that certainly won't be true in all cases. So if you hit it off with this guy then great. As long as you are happy that's all that matters.

I'm into older men and have been with a few. I make my move by talking to them and flirting with them. After that they know what to do.

I think due to the age difference, even if he was attracted to you, he would not want to make the first move for fear of being seen as a creep.

Nothing wrong with your making the first move. Get his number and see if he wants to get together - lunch or whatever. Don't make it obviously a "date". He might be in a relationship, or gay or whatever.
