Explaining to my girlfriend that I will be extremely busy?

I will be working possibly contract or permanent 40 hours a week and homeschooling my kids. I just finished a certification program or will be next week. She wants to spend more time with me, but I don't know how.. this is my first career and second career is my business that I won't be reopening until October due to a stressor of covid. Due to inflation I need 3 incomes possibly 4. I wish I could sit at home and do nothing, but these crazy gas prices , food inflation, and rent rise it's crazy.

How are you guys surviving right now...2 incomes aren't enough and I'll be glad when I cam resume into 3rd income/ career

Be open with her about your challenges and let her know you don't expect it to change.

You're not wrong for needing to prioritize your and your kids' stability.

But she's also not wrong for needing more from her partner.

It's just that you two may not be a fit right now.

Be open and honest with your challenges. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

As for how we're out here surviving on <3 jobs: I don't have kids. They're stupid expensive and I didn't want to give birth to kids destined to grow up poor.

My last relationship died from those reasons! Like how does she do nothing yet I'm doing 3 jobs and so busy?

If she wants time with me now is the time before I go into one of my careers.. the only time I'll have is when I'm free.. she lives with her son and isn't working, but is planning on going back to work and school ( medical)
