Guys, why are so many of you boring when doing online dating?

I’ve been doing online dating for a few months now and I keep having the same issue with every guy who talks to me. I’m the one who’s carrying the conversation, I’m the one asking questions. If they’re trying to meet people, why aren’t they putting in the effort? If a guy is not interested in me, then why reach out in the first place?

Lots of guys on dating apps are socially awkward in that setting, a lot of weight on their shoulders afraid to say the wrong thing. That or a lot are playing a numbers game liking every girl they find relatively attractive and then select from there. Either way for me the best way is if you like the photos and you like the bio meet up as soon as why waste time life is far too short to spend months of your precious time chatting on a dating app instead of actually meeting people

It is much more difficult to converse online than in real life. When I was doing online dating, I tried to schedule a face-to-face meeting within a week of the online meeting. Everything was MUCH easier after the initial face-to-face.

To be fair asking questions can be hard, they might not know what to ask you, that's all. :)

Hard to tell with shy and stoic guys, but I think that he interested if he talk to you.

Guys try and qualify the girl so they want to listen to what she says. Girls try to disqualify so guys the less the guy the says, but simply listens, asks relevant questions to get her to expand on what she already talking about, etc, then that's all they need to do

They're seeing people in real life too, you're just there for when times are slow. Dating online will never get the same attention as real life will.

If you ask me, I'd say I have no money to do exciting things and that I am working on generating more money by swing trading.

My experience was the opposite. I had to drive conversation most of the time.

Scared of rape allegations! It's not really that deep, but holy shit a guy has to watch what he says on some apps..

On dating apps I just send "hi, what's up", then "when do we go out", then we have sex, and then I delete their chat.
