Are you sad if you get excited for fake dates, like dates on games or pretend chat stories?

Like I've been playing rune factory and I'm getting proper excited for my in-game boyfriend going on dates with me and we're holding hands and I'm making him blush. But I am completely and utterly single irl.

People seriously need to get out more and meet new people. Hey if the game makes you happy I’m happy for you. I’ve done some fantasy dating games and stuff too. But we need to also meet real people

I know that and trust me I'd totally be happy if I was given a relationship on a silver platter. But at the moment I have plenty of time, but not time that allows me to leave the house and go out on dates or otherwise. And I understand that's a complete no no for dating especially since I'd have to go down the route of online dating. So I've been somewhat fulfilling that need on chat story games or ones with simply little dating/love stories like things from the harvest moon series, including rune factory or stardew valley.

In some ways. If you enjoy and still progress your life that's not sad. If you would rather have a real date and only do what you do then it is sad.

I mean technically I'm progressing my life, just not my love life that's as dead as it was five years ago
