No, I would just answer the message

If I am close with the person, yes

If it's someone who is annoying, I don't really care for, has unwanted affection for me, or not happy to hear from , I 'll just get to whatever they want, anyone else I would say apologize

If you texted or messaged someone, and it took a few days to respond, and they didn't apologize, or acknowledge how long it was, but they actually gave a long response to your message, you wouldn't care, right? Just asking

No, I wouldn’t care. People have busy lives. I would only feel offended if they didn’t respond for weeks and then they didn’t apologise or acknowledge how long it took for them to reply.
