How to get in a relationship with a girl from the same class?

Hello, there is a girl i like very much in my university class, but i have never hooked up with a girl or started any deep conversation

i am very unexperienced to talking with girls and i feel so awkward when i try to talk to one

i have talked to her couple of times about the class and made her laugh with jokes

I think i would be fain if i had a lot of time, but i was wrong. there are some guys who appeared to like her aswell and they get closer to her than me and now there is 1 boy who is very close to her, they are texting and so on and this boy is my friend

i can hang out with those 2, but it is painful to see them together and not being able to do anything.

I don't know how to start texting with her and what to say to her, even thou there are a lot of common things between us (she like games, me aswell, she likes japan language and learns it,, so am i, she love animals like me, 1 guy from her shcool class is like my brother..

Please tell me what is the best thing to do
