Do men and women think of dating old friends even when they are in a relationship?

Let's say you are in a good relationship and turns out one of your old friends or acquaintances that you liked being in their presence met you again, and they would like to catch up with you. Does the thought of dating them instead of your current loving partner come across your mind? I get the feeling a lot of people have thought of dating their old friends or acquaintances

I've never dated a friend.

I will fuck a friend with benefits, or become a with benefits with a friend if we can negotiate it properly.

I will date someone who may have been a friend.

But I won't just casually think of dating my non-romantic friends.

I'm not even monogamous, but I don't just randomly think "what if I dated this friend whom I've never had a relationship with". Not even when I'm single.

I think if your head could get turned that easy your head or heart is not in your current relationship. When things aren’t going well with A a person we commonly have a tendency to reminisce about a time when things were simpler , easier , better? Or at least you were more into it ! It could be a warning sign , don’t ignore it
