Very rarely , I never been called pretty. , but being called beautiful has happens to me a few times from girls’ I laughed when she said it , but I was also flattered about it , and I am not going to lie it was a turn on
I actually do hear that a lot coming from women “ Oh , he is such a beautiful man “ like women talking together referring to a man not in their company. I don’t know that I’ve ever been referred to as beautiful nor do I mind. Handsome and good looking I have been called by my other half , but that’s usually because she wants something 😂
I have a friend who has these amazing eyes. Everyone is ALWAYS telling him what pretty eyes he has. Never “handsome” (which he’s always a little upset about, but his wife is so happy about… go figure).

Surprisingly, yes. On my job one day, a woman was standing in the lobby of my office with her mother...(yes she was quite a bit older) she was staring and I heard her daughter ask what she was staring at and her reply was: "Just looking at that pretty man over there" ... Ya know, older woman or not... I will damn sure take a compliment like that ANY DAY...(I hope the poor woman was not blind!!! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've never been called "pretty" to my face. On the other hand, I have heard one or two people refer to me as "a beautiful person", but from the context I took it to refer to my personality and my identity as a person overall rather than about my physical appearance.

I tried to compliment a woman i know without coming off like a creep. I used the word “sharp”. She responded by telling me how pretty i looked, every time i saw her, for weeks. Ell oh ell!

Not really a Western world compliment , all a bit gay , may work in China , as it does here to some extent because their Soapy stars are very gay looking by Western standards.

Guys don't normally receive compliments ever from people who are not family. Especially those terms, since they are more common towards women than men.

No, not beautiful or pretty. Indian girls never called me handsome. Some western girls told me, " You are handsome and you should hit the gym ". I think western girls are cool.
