Will it be hard to find a job after being terminated for Sexual Harassment?

I was Terminated for sexual harassment A couple of weeks ago.

There was a girl I liked.
I've never touched her or said anything sexual to her, I had a crush on her & Kept asking her to go on break with me. I wanted to get to know her.

I bought her Christmas Gifts, Gave her a Christmas card with money.
Never said or did anything sexual...

I failed to realize she didn’t like me back
i Guess she got annoyed & Wrote a statement about me.
She said I made her feel scared and uncomfortable. She said she was even scared to walk to her car after work because she thought I’d be there..

I was fired for sexual Harassment.

I know it’s false but what can I do?
It was extremely False because they didn’t even get Police involved, I was just terminated.
Now Sexual harassment will be on my record

Will I be able to work again?

Good news,
My uncle set me up a phone call with his hiring people
They work 12 hour shifts which sucks but I’ll make a lot more.

Maybe me being fired was destined.

There must be surveillance camera's that documented any interaction you had with that woman. If you want to be exonerated, then you've got to follow up on that. Also, you need to find out if that women has a track record of any previous sexual misconduct claims. Good luck

Look, sexual harassment is a very real thing to many people. Just because the cops don't get involved, doesn't mean its a "false report" as most companies prefer to handle it internally to keep out unwanted press.

It will only hinder your job prospects IF they choose to call your old bosses & ask about your termination.

The full timers even said I didn’t do anything sexual
It’s just the sexual and harassment policy goes together or whatever

So people are gonna see that part
Then see there was a girl involved and I’m screwed

Unwanted advances is still covered under sexual harassment, unfortunately for you you didn't take the hint & leave her alone, so she took matters into her own hands & did what she felt she had to do.

Does it suck? Yes, of course, & I'm sorry you are experiencing this, but you're just going to have to move on & hope your superiors who get the call for references will not throw you under the bus.

They can sack you for any reason though as long as they followed their rules, did they interview you at all? Are you in the union can you talk to a union rep or employment advisory service? You should get some advice first. How long was this job for and is it a big organisation?

One mistake is giving money in a Christmas card. This is a workplace dude. You live and learn that no one in the workplace is your friend

Well, if you're buying her gifts and stuff when you're just coworkers that seems kind of obsessive and creepy and can make people feel uncomfortable, even though you were just trying to be nice.

Just take it as a learning experience and move on though.

This may or may not be a problem depending on what your former employer might reveal. If you can, just don't list them as a reference, or if you must, talk to a lawyer first.

I don't think they can terminate you without a warning unless you flat out raped her. My wrongful dismissal sense is tingling.
