I tried to gamify learning for years and it never worked. The only times I can really focus on learning is if I picked the subject matter myself for a good reason, not just as part of a pre-determined package assembled by a school. Imho schools suck in general. When I want to learn a complex topic, I do and easily so. If I don't, no force in the universe will fix that.
Removing distractions helps always. Sometimes it helped to just start pushing through even if I feel tired and demotivated. If I was super strict about not getting up from my chair until a certain threshold is reached, sometimes the resistance would fade over time. But mostly it was a struggle. One thing I discovered is that for memorizing lists, flashcards work like a miracle. You write a question on a piece of paper, the answer on the other side of it. You read the question, if you know you remove the card, if not, you look at the answer, think about it for a sec then put it to the bottom of the pile. Over time, you circulate fewer and fewer cards, until you can remember all of them. I had like 95% memory for a few weeks after that, longer if I refresh it regularly. I got kind of addicted to the triumph of actually knowing all of it. More complex issues that can't be easily turned into a list ad need to be learned in context... well... good luck I guess.

What I do is take condensed notes. Don't write out whole sentences, just write down key terms that will trigger your memory.
I study throughout the day, but I either watch TV or play games and every 30 minutes I study 5 terms/notes. I read them twice, go back to watching TV or playing a game, then after 30 minutes read those same 5 terms again. After 30 more minutes I move on to 5 new terms to look over. I repeat this process throughout the day, sometimes spread over 2 days depending on how much material I have to study.
Also, if a few of the terms seem difficult to remember I just skip those and figure so what if I miss a few, it is better to be well prepared for the ones I can remember than to waste much more time on a few difficult ones.
That helped me to pass state tests the first attempt that many people fail.
Alone... in silence... maybe listening to soft tune/music for concentration...
But I would not suggest the music part for those who have a lack concentrate
The music helps in solving mathematics problems very well.

Use the pomodoro technique. Divide time in small chugs and focus only on one thing. Never try to multitask.

Set a time like 30 minutes to study and try not to waste time or think about other things, then take a small break to rest and repeat
Uninstall all socials, limit mobile phone usage in general. Music helps with concentration.
Give a fuck about the subject matter. If you don't care you won't learn.
