In the land of overtime I’ve worked overtime every day for 15 years & I’m still working overtime so when extra hours are up for grabs although my employer asks me I usually respectfully decline especially in the summer months. On the other hand if I’m saving up for something I usually say yes to additional overtime. As for my coworkers they do not have to worry because there is overtime for them as well.

There are jobs that still do that?
Hell my boss won't even pay me OT: if I have even ten minutes of overtime I get a lecture on how "we're on a budget." They rather send me home early on Fridays than offer us extra time-
... which I'm totally okay with. Money is great, but I like my sanity too, lol. I honestly can't recall my job ever offering us extra time. I know on the units, they might let nurses do so if they're short staffed, but rarely in clinical or office settings at the hospital. If i dont like a job, Im not going to work more than im initially scheduled to. I dont need the money. I like to make money. I like to save up. But i dont need the money. Plus i got better stuff to do. Like sleep 🤣
Snatch them up. Look after number 1, unless you need something from one of your colleagues, then share hours with them to keep them on side
When I used to work hourly, yeah I would take all the hours I could manage while still balancing school and personal time. I’m actually glad I don’t have to do that anymore though, to be honest.I just work my set hours, there’s guy’s where I work need the money more than I do. So I let them have the extra hours. I only do them if I’m backed into a corner.
I have the same shift everyday. I always work overtime cause it’s double time. I go in on the weekends when it’s offered. Gotta get that money
In this case where I'm not working full time, only on call, I'll take 'em. Money is money, and dreams are roads I'm gonna take.
When I was working Shift work and I was approached by my supervisors to see if I wanted to work over-time I'd tell them to ask the married guys first, then come back to me id there were slots remaining.
I work full time M-F, so the hours are always the same.
I try to leave the overtime up for grabs. I avoid it if I can.
I have a proud record of never turning down overtime.
Other, only ever had the option to work my 8 hours.
Father does not work more than scheduled. My goals are located elsewhere.
Salary paid don't have options 😜
I'll grab em if I feel like it
Nah, salary, the more I work the less I get paid.
I used to pick them up
Schedule, yes. Overtime, no.
I like working 3 times a week
