As a teenager I believed I was too stupid to study medicine or rocket science but now I believe I can attain any intelligence level I want if I’m willing to practice for it and train for it. As an example, my creativity has improved with practice over the years and so has my memory.
Yes it's just a case of practice. Once you've learned how to solve one type of puzzle you can transfer that skill to other ones.

People can certainly learn, but I think that "G" -- general intelligence -- is a real thing. The correlation between measured intelligence and other measures of success is quite strong. For example, after a couple of years on a job, measured intelligence is a better predictor of productivity than total experience.
