No its not. I want the best performers to win the awards and get nominated. If they happen to be all white, or even all black, so be it. I do not want this to turn into having more minorities being nominated just in order to make it 'less white'.
i can't believe this is even an issue. We should just make a quota on how many people of each race should get an award. To be really fair the people should even need to be actress or actors. we will just pick random people off the street to win based on there race.
What about the NBA? Couldnt we say that its "too black"?

I could careless about the Oscars. blacks don't watch that shit. Instead of begging for acceptance they need to just come up with their own awards show. Blacks have movie studios, so they can shoot their own movies and they can also get their own movie awards show and I'm not talking about BET which isn't owned by blacks anymore.
If as many intuit, the Oscar's is not indeed racist at all, why should Blacks or basically all the other minority groups as well, get their own award show? Why does the answer always need to be more segregation. Minorities are in movies, make movies, write movies, and as I've said in my take, if this is the highest award in your field, which it is for US actors, why is it only seen as bad if minority actors want to win it, but if white actors want to win it, its okay that they want it and to be at least nominated for their work.
The award is simply based on opinion by a committee. So what? The Oscars were only made a big deal because people made it one. Its all just a matter of opinion. I don't know why blacks would want one because they only get nominated or win one when they play stereotypical, degrading, demeaning , submissive roles.
Hahaha are you kidding me? Blacks are the most racist of all, you have created your own segregation from society. You have your own shows labeled the word "black" in it, your own radio/TV stations, the list goes on. How would you feel if there was a show called "White Love?"

And they have their own because back when blacks had more dignity and wasn't begging for acceptance they didn't cry when whites didn't include them in their shows they just went out and got their own shows. And segregation never ended. The powers that be found out that segregation could still exist without it being obviously racist through economical status.

Yes. Is it really happenstance that minorities are rarely nominated and rarely win? Not just Black actors: Hispanics, Asians, Biracials, Multiracials, Arabs/Middle Easter decent, Hawaiians, etc.
Actually the person who directed Birdman and the Revenant is Mexican, but a lot of people don't talk about that? Lol I'm sorry but the people who were nominated just deserved it.
I don't think it matters that there are no black people. However, I don't think you should include those mexican directors as minorities. These directors were raise in Mexico and by mexican standards are consider white. In fact, you can start a debate about racism in Mexico for the lack of brown directors.

This shouldn't be an issue centered around the Oscars. If you really want to make it an issue, its the issue that most people want to see white people on TV. That's what sells or it wouldn't be so. So why don't you blame the casting agencies.

A good movie and good actors are worthy of the awards no matter the race. All of them could have been Asian and I wouldn't care.
If the minorities are so concerned with not enough of their kind in the oscars then maybe they should go out and make movies. The Indians did it with Bollywood. I don't see why black people couldn't do something like that. And from what I've heard tons of people love Bollywood. They don't get Oscar awards but who cares?

I've never watched the Oscars, I really wouldn't have anything to off of. BET awards might be too black, again I wouldn't know. I don't watch award shows, because they are a gigantic waste of time. Even more than being on this site.

No, but this topic annoys me and hearing it all over the news. No black films were good enough this year, get over it! Mabye next year they will kick some white ass 😉
