+1 yOne of the best films of all time, and it's a shame that many people discount it because of it's genre.
James Cameron is really one of the finest directors of all time, and he doesn't make bad movies or bad scenes, in my opinion. Terminator 1 & 2 were both brilliant films, way ahead of their time, and they're only becoming MORE relevant over time.
What other films from the last 30 years are MORE relevant than they were when they came out?
Just compare T1 and T2 against later Terminator films, you can see that the difference wasn't in acting or budget or special effects, the difference is the director.14 Reply- +1 y

@JudgmentDay You know somebody is not for real when they haven't seen The Abyss.
- +1 y
@Bananaman177 I almost forgot to mention that LOL I've seen it. Michael Biehn played a bad guy in that one, and Ed Harris plays the hero. Extraterrestrials underwater, pretty awesome for it's time. Only this time the extraterrestrials are not the bad guys. I hope he re-releases it in 3D also, ideally the director's cut version.

@Bananaman177 Man, I had just discovered that there was a video game that used The Abyss license released way back in Fall of 1998: www.mobygames.com/.../abyss-incident-at-europa But I'm not surprised I didn't hear about it before, since the reviews indicate that it wasn't good or popular.

+1 yMaybe it really should be called "Love Scene" for consistency with the soundtrack? "Best" is subjective, and everyone has a different perspective. I tried Googling "movies with the best sex scenes" but this didn't seem to make it to any of the results. Sarah was feeling really sad and emotional for Kyle since war and a desolate bleak world was all that he really knew and grew up with and came from. And since he never had a relationship nor partner in the future, and John Connor only had gave Kyle his mother's photo and not anybody else in the resistance, it became more special and personal to Kyle.

Definitely seen better. The scene is nothing special, nothing really erotic... though it is important to the plot, it's really rather tame.

Don't remember the scene. Was that Terminator having sex?
25 Reply- +1 y
No, it was Kyle reese (Michael Biehn) and Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton)

@Megalyssa It was there as a twist that the human soldier from the future sent to protect the mother of the leader of the human resistance from the terminator eventually becomes the father of that same leader. But if you think about it, wait a sec. Then that means no matter what, the future war would have to happen otherwise, time travel wouldn't be possible. Since John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance just sent one of his own troops back in time only in order for himself to become conceived eventually and exist, then wouldn't that be a loop? That more or less explains why we didn't exactly get a perfect happy ending in Terminator 2, and why by the end of Terminator 3, "Judgment Day" happened and everything still unfolded, despite all their efforts to prevent that nuclear nightmare in the second movie.

I agree with you, it's one of my favorites to. There's definitely passion in it that seemed genuine and not faked/acted. It was very well done, even though it was short.10 Replywhere is the video of that sex scene? damn it, im here for the sex scene video. i want that video NOW !!!

It's on YouTube.
+1 yIt was good. Reece did ok for his first time. Was so disappointed the Emilia Clarke was fully clothed the whole time in the new one a sex scene would have brought the movie together. The original was the best terminator.
08 Reply- +1 y
The whole fucking timeline is changed and altered in the new Terminator movie. BOTH of John Connor's parents even skipped ahead and time travel into 2017 WITHOUT ever spending a night together and conceiving John in 1984!!! So I was like really? What the fuck? Thus if that's the case then John Connor would never had been born until much later if ever, since they had already skipped ahead as John normally would have been born some time in 1985. But time travel is really fucked up anyway.
But by then SkyNet had also evolved into a completely different form altogether and because the original 1984 T-800's components had been destroyed before CyberDyne Systems got hold of those components. SkyNet's origins is completely different this time around, surprisingly it uses John Connor this time around to create (or re-create) itself in the past in this alternate timeline, after SkyNet had "changed" John into a cyborg first. - +1 y
@JudgmentDay time travel changes everything Every time it's used. John Connor in the Genyis will never be born because both the specific egg from Sarah Connor' s will not be there and the specific sperm that fertalises the egg will not be there. John Connor could only be conceived in 1984 at a specific time Kyle Reece ejaculated. Any child born now will not be John Connor.
By use of time travel Skynet should eventually win as it's able send back in time all the knowledge it needs. - +1 y
@DonkeyRick609 The more I think about it, SkyNet really can beat humans WITHOUT ever even fighting or "terminating" humans at all, especially after accumulating all the data and knowledge about humans. Humans are more prone to destroy themselves over many things and little things, and are MUCH MORE vulnerable to all the possibilities of death and trauma. I mean look at the damage, harm and destruction humans inflict upon each other and the environment that sustains themselves and their societies.
If I remembered correctly, a T-800's system power cell can last up to 120 years. That's WAY MORE THAN ENOUGH compared to the average lifespan of humans which is in the 80s. And the oldest person that had ever lived recorded was 122 years.
Meaning, all SkyNet really has to do to beat humans is to OUTLAST them, and if they want to speed up the process exponentially then they just have to skip ahead hundreds or thousands of years into the future via time travel instead. - +1 y
@DonkeyRick69 one other thing, by the end of Terminator 3, SkyNet had completely evolved from a giant supercomputer system "centralized" and vulnerable to destruction entirely at a single location. Because this was what John Connor had said at the end of Terminator 3:
"By the time SkyNet became self-aware it had spread into millions of computer servers all across the planet. Ordinary computers in office buildings, dorm rooms, everywhere. It was software, in cyberspace. There was no system core. It could not be shut down. The attack began at 6:18 P. M. just as he said it would. Judgment Day. The day the human race was nearly destroyed by the weapons they built to protect themselves."
Thus meaning SkyNet had became "decentralized" being in multiple and many locations all at the same time, very difficult if not impossible to destroy, since it's no longer a single system core. - +1 y
had completely evolved from a giant supercomputer system "centralized" and vulnerable to destruction entirely at a single location to a "cloud" like infrastructure, using all the computers it had infected globally with it's code, making it a massive network computer system; using distributed computing making it more deadlier and less vulnerable than it ever was before.
- +1 y
@JudgmentDay seems obvious but Skynet could have just used biological and chemical weapons. After judgement day the humans who didn't die would be dying painful deaths from radiation poisoning.
- +1 y
@DonkeyRick69 maybe they'll explore that in the next Terminator movie. SkyNet using bioweapons and/or chemical weapons would have been better in the first place instead of using our own nuclear missiles. After all bioweapons and chemical weapons won't backfire at all if much on the machines compared to anything that is living and organic.
by the way, you ever watched The Animatrix? Specifically "The Second Renaissance"? That's pretty much how the machines in the Matrix eventually won the wars BEFORE the Matrix prison had been established. The machines studied the human's anatomy and physiology and realized that unleashing deadly biological and chemical weapons would ultimately force the humans to surrender.
I'm just saying SkyNet's time travel ability could simply just allow it to outlast humans if it skipped forward and made massive backup copies of itself across time. Humans don't live that long, too vulnerable and die very easily, and completely dependent upon sexual reproduction. - +1 y
as SkyNet can just make backup copies and build machine after machine after machine within seconds, minutes or days, maybe weeks, compared to how humans take 9 months to be ready to be born and then have to go through a really long process of "growing up" and "learning" in order to be able to ready and survive in the world. SkyNet and their machines can learn so quickly and adapt so quickly it really don't even need to pull the trigger to beat humankind, but of course then we won't get a movie of man vs. machine war. But that's all I'm saying. In other words, humankind had been so dependent upon machines to survive.
As Morpheus had said ""Throughout human history, we have been dependent on machines to survive. Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony."
That alone, already gives a huge advantage to the machines.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt was a simple, short scene but powerful. Kyle had never known anything but pain and hardship since childhood. Sarah was lonely and caught up in this life and death struggle against doom.
Kyle had traveled across time for her, to save and impregnate her. To save the world. Sarah gave him the only pleasure and tenderness he had known in his life.
And lets not forget that Linda (Sarah) had fabulous tits!!00 Reply- 832 opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic.

I'll re-watch it if they re-release it in 3D just like they did with Terminator 2. Although I kinda wished they would also re-release it in the Extended Uncut or Director's Cut format. But The Terminator didn't have too many good deleted scenes compared to Terminator 2.
