Women are more likely to respect and fall in love with a man’s agency vs. falling in love with him at first sight.

So a few years ago I dated a much younger girl (20) who was a beautiful fitness model. Our first date was at a local condo gym. This was perfect with me because I love to exercise too. I’m in good shape and she gets to see me do something I enjoy.

But she a little bitchy before and towards the date. I she didn’t even want to give me a huge goodbye.

Later she told me to go on my way because she thought I was probably married. I asked her where she was and not surprisingly back at the gym. I came by the gym and gave her a protein shake just as a kind gesture. Not expecting anything in return. A part of me worried that I was being too nice (which most girls don’t respect) but I did it anyway.

Anyway I stopped by the gym and gave her the shake. I then saw her expression soften and smiled at me. Later I got a text saying she wouldn’t mind if we hung out again. And she was now much more interested in being more than friends :)

We ended up dating for 9 months and for a while she had very real feelings for me (ended bad though). However it was fun while it lasted. It was a rare moment that being a “nice guy” worked too. She just couldn’t get enough in bed with me. She also treated me well in return (cooked for me often)

Yea, he would remember little things I’d say in passing and then go and do it for me. Like if I would mention a movie he would later take me to that movie on a date.

My wife and one particular former girlfriend earned my love, but I had already paid attention them, and there wasn't one specific thing they did to catch my attention or earn my love.

I just remembered something sweet. I was working in a large office in the early 1980s. There was a very girl whose family had come here from Iran after the Shah had been overthrown. Iran wasn't popular at the time so she always said she was Persian.

A friend and I used to talk to her and some of the girls she knew in the office. She was very sweet and beautiful but cultural differences kept me from having romantic interests.

She went on vacation to Hawaii for a week, and when she returned, she brought coral necklaces for my friend and me and no one else. I was actually touched. It made me realize that she valued our friendship and the fact that we were nice to her.

Musicians. I never paid much attention to Todd Ruundgren until he was already working on his 6th album. I didn't get much into the Moody Blues until they were on their 11th album, I hated Kiss until their 4th album, Hardly new anything at al about King Crimson until their 6th, etc..

Not that kind of love, but yes. After my first divorce I was a littke lost. My friend's wife and I formed a lifetime bond because she was there for me. She was pregnant and my friend worked 3rd shift. So we spent a lot of the daytime keeping each other company. She would call me to fill her order for her weird craving of the day and I called her to hangout when I was feeling lonely or down. I've always appreciated her for that time in our lives. And we still have a good friendship to this day. Her husband has been one of my best friends for decades and they both are great people to me.
