Guy friend asked me to the movies?

He asked me to go see a movie with him, the first time during class I didn't answer he asked me later on again, I said yes cause we are just friends right? He wouldn't be thinking otherwise would he? :/

Perhaps I should have added this too lol: the fact he said he missed me a lot a couple of times (had been absent for a week) and made me promise to go to this event next year together, and saying other weird stuff :/

Just wait until he actually mans up and asks you out, till then, don't think into it, that's how you develop feelings and potentially get hurt
