They say you always fall for someone like your opposite sex parent... but the thing is I can't stand my mom. at all.
Advise?
I have a theory that you just have to find somebody that reminds you of yourself. I believe this because there was a time when your parents were different people before they were parents and just as they are each their own person, so are you. I believe that it is natural to be attracted to people who remind you of your mom or other close females you know because that means you have a good relationship with those people. I think once you begin to figure out who you are (as a solo person apart from the rest of everybody else) then you begin to figure out what you like and don't like about yourself and if you have somebody else around you who has been through that same thought process, I believe that it is what love is...at least how I currently perceive it.

Really?
That creeps me out. I guess it's part of the supposed Oedipus effect. I couldn't imagine being married to someone like my mom. It would drive me crazy. I make my mom cry at least once a week.
Advice? Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm... sh*t idk.
My boyfriend asked me to wake him up one morning if he slept through his alarm and I got to his house at noon and he was still asleep so I jumped in his bed and woke him up and later I was like 'commonnnn wake up' cause he was still asleep 30 mins later, and he said "ok ok mom" (jokingly) but it wierded me out! it was really strange. I in no way would every want a guy to compare me to his mother.

You can tell her if you think she can take it, and try to work things out. Otherwise, end it now and find someone else. Better than continuing to suffer through a relationship.
