Is it weird to buy my best friend a corsage for prom as she will be my "date"?

I am homeschooled, meaning I know no one at school. I am buying a guest ticket for my best friend, Anna, so she will be going with me as I don't have a date and I don't want to go alone because I'm shy. One of my friend, Lilly, had gotten her girlfriend a corsage for prom but I wanted to know if it is weird for me to buy Anna a corsage... We aren't dating or anything obviously but we have a sister/best friend relationship and so yea. Is it weird to get Anna a corsage for prom?

No it's not weird. Another option is to get her flowers. But getting the corsage is good.
